Who PixPay is for

Built for people who
invoice for a living

PixPay is not for everyone and that is by design. It is built for a specific kind of person — one who cares about how their business shows up in the world and wants to get paid without the hassle.

PixPay is built for you if...

You invoice clients for your work — whether that is one client or twenty. Here is exactly who gets the most out of PixPay.

Freelancers

You work for yourself, you care about your reputation, and you want every client touchpoint to reflect the quality of your work — including the invoice.

  • Designers, developers, photographers
  • Copywriters, consultants, marketers
  • Anyone billing clients for creative work
  • People who have outgrown emailing PDFs

Small businesses

You run a lean operation, invoice multiple clients, and need a tool that keeps everything organised without requiring a finance team to operate it.

  • Studios, agencies, small service businesses
  • Teams of 1 to 10 people
  • Businesses with regular retainer clients
  • Anyone tired of chasing late payments manually

Sole traders

You wear every hat in your business. PixPay handles the billing so you spend less time on admin and more time doing the work that actually pays.

  • Registered as self-employed in the UK
  • Trades, coaches, therapists, tutors
  • Anyone juggling client work solo
  • People who want a tool that just works
For people who obsess over the details

Your invoice is part of your brand.

If you care about the quality of your work, you should care about the invoice too. PixPay makes it easy to send something that reflects the standard you hold everything else to.

PixPay is probably not for you if...

We would rather be upfront about this than have you sign up and be disappointed. PixPay is focused — and that means it is not the right tool for everyone.

You need full accounting software

PixPay does not do P&L reports, VAT returns, payroll, or bookkeeping. If you need a full accounting suite look at Xero or FreeAgent — and use PixPay alongside them.

You run a large enterprise

PixPay is built for individuals and small teams. If you need multi-user access, approval workflows, or complex reporting, PixPay is not the right fit right now.

You sell physical products

PixPay is built for service-based businesses. It is not an ecommerce platform and does not handle product inventory or order management.

You need expense tracking

PixPay focuses on what goes out — your invoices. It does not track your business expenses, receipts, or mileage.

You only send one invoice a year

If you invoice rarely and are happy emailing a PDF, the free plan covers you — but the full value of PixPay comes from using it regularly.

You want a time tracker built in

PixPay does not track billable hours. Use Toggl or Harvest then bring totals into PixPay as line items when it is time to invoice.

"

PixPay is for the freelancer who knows their work is worth more than a Word document with a bank account number at the bottom. You deserve a tool that looks the part.
